CUTTY SARK

Famous tea clipper built as Cutty Sark on the Clyde in 1869 for the Jock Willis Shipping Line. Sold to Ferreira & Co in 1895 and renamed Ferreira and later Maria do Amparo. Training ship, renamed Cutty Sark, based at Falmouth from 1922, moving to Geenhithe on the Thames in 1938. Since 1954 has been in permanent dry dock at Greenwich on public display and has been restored from a fire that nearly destroyed her in 2007.
