Product information

Algerine-class minesweeper built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast. She had been ordered as HMS Alert in 1941 but commissioned in 1942 as HMS Acute. Originally numbered J106 this was later changed to M106. Laid up and placed in reserve at Harwich from 1946 to 1956 before being recommissioned as part of the Dartmouth training squadron. Paid off in 1961 she spent another 3 years in the reserve fleet. In 1964 she was towed to Malta for use as a torpedo target before being broken up at La Spezia.
