AIDA (Deutsche Seetouristik/Arkona Reisen)

Cruise ship built by Kvaerner Masa Yards, Turku, in 1996 as Aida for Arkona Seetouristik. With her owners in financial difficulties she was sold in 1997 to Norwegian Cruise Line but chartered back to Arkona. Re-purchased by her original owners in 1999, re-styled as AIDA Cruises company, part of the P&O Group. She was renamed AIDAcara in 2001 when more ships joined the company. Sold to Russian owners in 2021 and renamed Astoria Grande.
