ALMANZORA (Royal Mail Lines)
Passenger liner that was sister to Arlanza, Andes and Alcantara. Built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, she was launched in 1914 and completed as an armed merchant cruiser. After the war she was re-built by her builders' and entered commercial service in 1920 between Southampton and South America. She also served in WW2, this time as a troopship and at the end of the war became a government owned emigrant ship. Broken up in 1948 at Blyth.
