ANDANIA (Cunard White Star Line)
Passenger liner built by Hawthorn Leslie, Newcastle, that made her maiden voyage in June 1922, London, Southampton to Montreal. In 1925 she moved to the Hamburg-Southampton-New York service and then in 1927 to the Liverpool, Belfast and Glasgow to Canada joint service with Anchor-Donaldson Line. In 1939 she became an armed merchant cruiser, but was torpedoed and lost in 1940 off Iceland.
