BALOERAN (Rotterdam Lloyd)

Passenger liner that entered service as Baloeran for Rotterdamsche Lloyd in 1930. Rotterdam to the Dutch East Indies service. In 1940 she was seized by the German Navy and converted into a hospital ship renamed Strassburg. In 1943 she struck a mine and was beached where later she was destroyed by British motor torpedo boats.
