BRECONSHIRE
Laid down by Caledon Shipbuilding, Dundee, as Telemachus for Alfred Holt's Blue Funnel Line, she was completed in 1942 as the escort aircraft-carrier HMS Activity, serving on the Arctic Convoys and later in the Far east. Rebuilt by Palmers, Hebburn-on-Tyne, as a cargo liner (23 pass) at the end of the war, she entered service in 1947 as Breconshire for Glen Line. Broken up in 1947 at Mihara, Japan.
