BRITANNIA (P&A Campbell)
Bristol Channel steamer built by McKnight, Ayr, in 1896 with a single funnel as Britannia for P&A Campbell. She served as HMS Briton during WW1. In 1935 she was re-boilered and re-entered service with a larger single funnel. She served as HMS Skiddaw in WW2 and was at both Dunkirk and the Normandy landings. Re-boilered again in 1948 and now appeared with two funnels, spending the 1948 and 1949 seasons at Brighton returning to the Bristol Channel in 1950. Withdrawn after the 1956 season and broken up at Newport, Monmouthshire.
