CALEDONIA (Caledonian Steam Packet)

Built by Denny, Dumbarton as Caledonia, she entered service in 1934. Requisitioned as a minesweeper in WW2, renamed HMS Goatfell, and later converted to an anti-aircraft ship. She returned to commercial service in 1946, and was eventually withdrawn in 1969. She was purchased by Bass Charrington for use as a static floating restaurant on the River Thames. She was badly damaged by fire in 1980 and then broken up.
