C-class cruiser built by Hawthorn Leslie, Tyneside, that was commissioned in to the Royal Navy in 1917. Later in 1917 she took part in the Second Battle of The Heligoland Blight in which all those on her bridge were killed when it was struck by a shell. In 1922 she rescued the Greek royal family (including HRH Prince Philip) after a military dictatorship seized power. She was sunk 12/6/1940 by a torpedo from an Italian submarine south of Crete.
