CAMBRIA (British Transport Commission)

Passenger ferry built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, that entered service between Holyhead and Dun Laoghaire as Cambria in 1949. From 5/1971 to 1/1972 she operated Heysham to Dun Laoghaire following the Menai Bridge fire. Relegated to reserve ship in 1975. Sold in 1976 to Orri Navigation of Jeddah and renamed Altaif. Name modified to Al Taif in 1980. Sank whilst moored at Suez.
