CARNIVALE (Carnival Cruise Line)
Launched in 1955 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as the Canadian-Pacific liner Empress Of Britain. In 1965 she was sold to the Greek Line as Queen Anna Maria, then in 1975 to Carnival Cruise Line as Carnivale. Carnival transferred her to a new (and unsuccessful) subsidiary in 1993 as Fiesta Marina. Between 1995 and 1997 she sailed for Epirotiki/Royal Olympic as Olympic and was then sold to Tui Travel and was operated by Thomson Cruises as The Topaz. In 2003 she passed to the Peace Boat organisation before being laid up in 2005. She was broken up in 2008/2009.
