HMS CEYLON

Fiji-class light cruiser built by Alexander Stephen & Sons, Glasgow, that was commissioned in to the Royal Navy in 1943 as HMS Ceylon. She spent 2 months with the home fleet before transferring to the Far East and actions against Japanese held territories. Post war she saw service in the Korean War and the Suez crisis. Sold to Peru in 1960 and renamed Coronel Bolognesi. Decommissioned in 1982 and broken up in Taiwan in 1985.
