CIRCASSIA (Anchor Line)
Passenger liner built by Fairfield, Govan, that entered service in 1937, Glasgow to Bombay. During WW2 she served first as an armed merchant cruiser, then a troopship, and then as a Landing Ship Infantry. She resumed her commercial service in 1947. In January 1966 she made Anchor Line's last ever passenger sailing and was later broken up at Alicante.
