CIUDAD DE COIMPOSTELA (Trasmediterranea)
Passenger and car ferry built at Sestao, Northern Spain, as Ciudad de Compostela for Trasmediterranea. She entered service in 1966 between Barcelona and the Balearic islands but also operated to the Canaries at times. From 1984 was relegated to relief vessel and in 1992 sold to European Seaways, Malta, and renamed European Star. Sold in 1994 to Libton Shipping, Malta, and renamed Saray Star. On 10th June that year, sailing from Piraeus to Venice, she caught fire, was abandoned and sank.
