COLOMBIA
Passenger liner built at Newport News that entered service 11/1932 as Colombia for the Colombian Line on a route from New York to Haiti, Jamaica, Colombia and Panama. Sold in 1938 to Ward Line and renamed Mexico for service from New York to Mexico. Served as a troopship 1942-46. Sold to Turkish Maritime Lines 12/1946 and renamed Istanbul. Laid up in 1961 and broken up in 1966.
