CORSE
Passenger and vehicle ferry built in 1966 by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, St. Nazaire, as Corse for Cie. Generale Transatlantique. Marseille or Nice to Corsica services. Transferred in 1969 to Cie. Generale Transmediterrannee and then in 1976 to S.N.C.M. Sold in 1981 to Universal River Inc., Piraeus, and renamed Golden Vergina was placed on Brindisi-Piraeus-Haifa service. Sold to Agapitos Lines in 1988, Piraeus-Paros-Ikaria-Samos route. Sold to Minoan Flying Dolphins in 1999 and renamed Express Samina for Hellas Ferries service starting 2000. On 26th September 2000 she hit a reef off of Paros and sank with the loss of 80 lives.
