COTE D'AZUR (SAGA - Ste. Ame. de Gerance et d'Armement)
Passenger ferry built 1930 at Le Havre as Cote D'Azur for the Calais-Dover service. In 5/1940 she took part in the evacuations from both Ostend and Dunkirk but on 27/5 she was sunk by dive bombers off Dunkirk. In 1/1941 she was raised by the Germans and commission 10/1942 as the minelayer Elsass. She sank 3/1/1945 after hitting a German mine off the Danish island of Samso.
