EDINBURGH CASTLE (Union Castle Line)
Passenger liner built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, that entered service on the express South Africa service in 1948. A major refit in 1965 included changes to her mast layout. In 1976 she made a cargo only voyage to Cape Town and then proceeded to ship-breakers in Taiwan.
