EDITH
Passenger ( and some cars) ferry built in 1911 as Edith for the Tilbury-Gravesend service across the River Thames. Not used for vehicles after 1927. Renamed Edith II in 1961 and broken up in Belgium.
With the amalgamations of railway companies her owners were 1911 - London Tilbury & Southend Railway. 1912 - Midland Railway (but still operated by LT&S). 1923 - London Midland & Scottish Railway. 1959 - British Railways Eastern Region.
