EMPRESS OF BRITAIN (Canadian Pacific)

Launched in 1955 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as the Canadian-Pacific passenger liner Empress Of Britain, Liverpool to Canada service. In 1965 she was sold to the Greek Line and renamed Queen Anna Maria for Piraeus to New York service but also some Haifa - New York as well as cruising. Sold in 1975 to Carnival Cruise Line as Carnivale, a full-time cruise ship. Carnival transferred her to a new (and unsuccessful) subsidiary in 1993 as Fiesta Marina. Between 1995 and 1997 she sailed for Epirotiki/Royal Olympic as Olympic and was then sold to Tui Travel and was operated by Thomson Cruises as The Topaz. In 2003 she passed to the Peace Boat organisation before being laid up in 2005. She was broken up in 2008 at Alang, India.
