GENTILE DA FABRIANO (Linee Maritime dell Adriatico)

Passenger ferry built in 1962 at Marina di Carrara as Gentile Da Fabriano for Linee Maritime dell Adriatico for service in the Adriatic. Sold in 1983 to Attika Shipping and rebuilt as a cruise ship and renamed Attika. Sold in 1987 and renamed Galapagos Explorer for cruises in the Galapagos. She ran aground in 1996 after which her superstructure and engines were removed and the hulk sunk in deep water.
