HMS GLAMORGAN
County-class destroyer built by Vickers-Armstrong, Newcastle, that commissioned in to the Royal Navy in 1966 as HMS Glamorgan. In the Falklands War (1982) she was hit by a land-based Exocet missile, killing 14 of her crew. In 1986 she was sold to Chile and renamed Almirante Latorre. Decommissioned in 1998, she sank in the Pacific 4/2005 while being towed to the ship-breakers.
