GLEN SANNOX (Caledonian Steam Packet)
Passenger and vehicle ferry built by Ailsa Shipbuilding, Troon, as Glen Sannox specifically for the Caledonian Steam Packets' Arran route. Given a stern ramp in 1969/70, and replaced on the Arran route in 1970. The crane she had when built was removed in 1972. In 1976 refurbished so that she could offer excursions, but these were hampered by bad weather in the late 1970s. She would then spend the winters on the Oban-Mull-Colonsay route. Sold in 1989 and renamed Knooz for pilgrim work on the Red Sea. Renamed Nadia in 1991 and then Al Marwah, and in 1994 renamed Al Basmalah I. Ran aground south of Jeddah in 2000 and then lay in a half sunken state.
