GRAF WALDERSEE (Hamburg America Line)
Passenger liner built in 1898 by Blohm & Voss, Hamburg, for the Hamburg America Line, Hamburg to New York service. Laid down as Pavia but launched as Graf Waldersee, originally with 4 masts but later (1900?) reduced to two. Laid up for the duration of WW1 she was handed over to the USA in 1919 for use as a transport then transferred to the British in 1920 and managed by P&O. Sold to ship breakers 8/1921 and broken up at Hamburg in 1922.
