KING HARRY FERRY (5)

Steam powered chain ferry built in 1933 by Thornycroft, Southampton, for the Saltash crossing in Devon. Replaced by the Tamar road bridge in 1961 she was purchased by the King Harry Ferry and underwent a lengthy conversion, by the owners, to diesel electric power and finally entered service in 1964. Replaced in 1974.
