LOBO MARINHO (Porto Santo Line)
Built at Aalborg, Denmark, as a multi purpose ferry she entered service in 1968 as Christian IV for A / S Kristiansand Dampskipsselskap between Kristiansand and Hirtshals. The company was taken over by Fred Olsen later that year. Sold in 1984 to Perbadanan National Shipping Line of Kuala Lumpur and renamed Pernas Safari. Converted to a troopship in 1985. In 1994 she was sold to Endeavour Shipping of Malta and renamed Safari. After refit, including the removal of the railway track, she was placed on a Bari - Corfu - Igoumentisa service for Safari Lines in 1995. Sold in 1996 to Porto Santo Line and renamed Lobo Marinho for service in Madeira. Renamed Lobo Marinho 1 in 2003 and later sold to Cabo Verde Line, renamed Lobo Dos Mares. In 2004 she was sold to North Korean buyers, refitted at Perama in 2005 and renamed Menhir but laid up. Broken up 2010.
