PENNSYLVANIA (Hamburg America Line)
Passenger and cargo liner built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, that entered service in 1897 as Pennsylvania fo the Hamburg-America Line transatlantic service. Interned at New York in 1914 and seized by the US Government in 1917 she was refitted as the navy transport Nansemond. Laid up on the Hudson River in 1919 and broken up in 1924.
