PRIDE OF CANTERBURY (P&O Ferries)

Passenger and vehicle ferry built at Alblasserdam, Netherlands, that entered service in 1974 for Townsend-Thoresen as Free Enterprise VIII, Dover-Zeebrugge. When the company became P&O European Ferries in 1987 she was renamed Pride Of Canterbury and placed on the Dover-Boulogne route. When the Boulogne route was closed in 1993 she was sold to GA Ferries and renamed Romilda, principally being employed between Piraeus and the Greek Islands. Broken up at Aliaga in 2011.
