QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 (Cunard Line)

The 'QE2'. Built 1969 and named by HM The Queen. Transatlantic in the summer months and cruising during the winter. In 1972 she was subject to a bomb threat and members of the SAS and SBS were parachuted down to her in the Atlantic. In 1982 she carried 3000 troops to the Falklands, going most of the way 'blacked out' without modern aids.
In 2004 she became a full-time cruise ship and in 2008 was sold to interests in Dubai.
