REGINA RENAISSANCE (Yachtship)

Built at Marina Di Carrara, Italy, and launched as Renaissance Seven, she was the seventh of the Renaissance-class cruise ships but was chartered on completion in 12/1991 to Yachtship, Italy, and renamed Regina Renaissance. Returned to Renaissance Cruises in 1998 and renamed Renaissance Seven. When the company folded in 2001 she was arrested at Gibraltar and later sold to Grand Seaways, Palermo, and renamed Renai 1 although she remained inactive. Sold in 2003 and renamed Sun, she then went to Barcelona for refurbishment. Sold to Mauritius Island Cruises and chartered to Noble Caledonia she returned to cruising in 2004, renamed Island Sun. After Mauritius Island Cruises collapsed she was sold in 2005 and chartered to Travel Dynamics as Corinthian II. Renamed Sea Explorer in 2013 having been chartered by Polar Latitudes and Poseidon Expeditions. Sold to Hebridean Sky Shipping in 2016 and renamed Hebridean Sky, again cruising for Noble Caledonia.
