SAGA PEARL II (Saga Cruises)

Cruise ship built 1981 for Hadag Cruise Line as Astor. In 1984 she was purchased by Safmarine who wished to restart a UK to South Africa passenger service, but the ships' engines proved not suitable for liner service and was sold to East Germany as Arkona. By 2002 she had been acquired by Transocean Tours and renamed Astoria. In 2009 she was purchased by Saga Cruise and renamed Saga Pearl II, entering service 2010. In May 2012 they renamed her Quest For Adventure, but in November 2013 she reverted to Saga Pearl II. Withdrawn in 2019 and laid up at Piraeus as Pearl II. Broken up at Aliaga in 2022.
