SALLY STAR (Sally Line)
Passenger and vehicle ferry built 1981 by Wartsila, Helsinki, as Travemünde for the Gedser-Travemunde Line. After a change of ownership was renamed Travemunde Link in 1987. In 1988 she became Sally Star for Sally Line operating Ramsgate to Dunkirk. In 1997 she was chartered to Silja Line for service between Vasa and Umea. She carried the name Wasa Express but this was not official. Sold in 1997 to Destination Gotland and renamed Thjelvar, operating from Visby to Oskarsham and/or Nynashamn. Chartered to Color Line and renamed Color Traveller in 2004, reverting to Thjelvar in 2006. Then chartered to Scandlines in 2007 and renamed Rostock, reverting to Thjelvar in 2010. Chartered to Fred Olsen in 2011 and renamed Betancuria and in 2012 chartered to Vasabàtarna (Wasa Line) and renamed Wasa Express. Sold in 2021 to United Maritime, Egypt, and then chartered to Balearia.
