SARNIA (British Railways)

Passenger ferry built 1960 as Sarnia at Cowes, Isle Of Wight for the Weymouth to Channel Islands service of British Railways, Southern Region. Sister to Caesarea. Sold 1978 to Supersave Supermarkets and renamed Aquamart. Laid up later the same year and sold to Greek interests and renamed Golden Star. Sold to Find Establishment of Jeddah in 1981 and renamed Saudi Golden Moon. Scrapped in 1987.

She had been the last specifically-built conventional passenger ship built for the Channel Islands service.
