SASSNITZ (Deutsche Reichsbahn)

Passenger and train ferry built at Rostock. She made her maiden voyage for East German state railways in 1959 as Sassnitz, operating Trelleborg-Sassnitz. Withdrawn in 1986 and sold to Greek company Afroessa Lines and renamed Silver Paloma, operating Piraeus to Haifa. In 1990 sold to Arkadia Lines, same name but now operating Igoumenitsa to Bari. Laid up in 1995 and renamed Megistanas but no further service. Sold to Indian ship-breakers in 2000.
