SCHWABEN (Deutsche Bundesbahn)

Passenger ferry built as Schwaben at the Bodan shipyard at Kressbronn in 1937 for service on Lake Constance (Bodensee) operated by Deutsche Reichsbahn. Used by the German Navy in WW2 to test underwater listening devices. At the end of the war she was operated by the French occupying forces under the name St. Corenthin. She returned to her original name and role in 1949 and was then operated by Deutsche Bundesbahn. Since 1994 she has been operated by Bodensee Schiffsbetriebe.
