SEA VENTURE (Flagship Cruises)

Cruise ship built at Emden, Germany, that entered service in 1971 for Flagship Cruises as Sea Venture. The company was purchased by Princess Cruises in 1975 and she was renamed Pacific Princess. Between 1976 and 1986 she was the principal location for the TV soap opera Love Boat. Sold in 2001 and chartered to Pullmantur, operating as Pacific. Sold in 2008 and later arrested at Genoa for unpaid debts. Sold to Turkish ship-breakers in 2012.
