Product information

SHEMARA
Motor yacht built in 1938 by Thornycroft at Southampton to the specifications of Sir Bernard Docker. Requisitioned by the Royal Navy in 1939 as HMS Shemara and used as an anti-submarine training ship. Released in 1946. In 1965 she was sold to Harry Hyams, and she was left sitting idle at Lowestoft for over 20 years. Refitted in 1992. Purchased in 2010 by Charles Dunstone, founder of Carphone Warehouse and completely refitted at Portchester. She returned to 'service' in 2014.​
