White Star Dock, Southampton
The White Star Dock was opened in 1911, specifically for the new White Star Line ships, Olympic, Titanic and Britannic. The dock was renamed Ocean Dock in 1922 as other companies (chiefly Cunard) were using the dock. The original Ocean Terminal was not built until 1950.
The vessels pictured are (l to r) Mauretania, Berengaria, Adriatic and Aquitania.
