THE FAIRMILE (Greenway Ferry)
Built as RML (Rescue Motor Launch) 497 in 1941, one of over 600 of the class that were built. After the war, in 1946, she was sold for commercial service on the Torquay-Brixham ferry route and renamed Western Lady III. Sold in 2007 to Fairmile Classic Cruises operating excursions out of Swanage. After this company failed she was purchased in 2009 by Greenway Ferry, refitted and renamed The Fairmile she operated excursions out of Torquay and Brixham and in 2013 was repainted in her wartime dazzle camouflage paint scheme. Now at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
