TYNWALD (Isle Of Man Steam Packet)
Passenger ferry built in 1891 by Fairfield Shipbuilding, Govan, as Tynwald for the Isle Of Man Steam Packet. She spent much of her career on the Ardrossan route. Laid up at Barrow in 1930 and sold in 1933 and renamed Western Isles, converted to a yacht based at Glasgow.. Requisitioned by the Admiralty in 1939 and renamed HMS Eastern Isles, an accommodation and supply ship at Birkenhead. Broken up at La Spezia in 1952.
